Executive Officer
As the Executive Officer, Major Luke Turrell is the senior military representative inside the CHACR. He has served on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and deployed globally in a cross-government crisis response and liaison role. He was privileged to command an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) sub-unit and has worked within the Permanent Joint Headquarters in Northwood, the Army Headquarters and the Ministry of Defence in London. He holds a BA in War Studies and an MA in Strategic Communication, both from King’s College London and was selected as a Chief of the General Staff Fellow in 2021. Away from work he was appointed as a Magistrate (Justice of the Peace) in 2020 and has a young family.
