Dr Tim Clack is the Chingiz Gutseriev Fellow at the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography, University of Oxford, UK. He researches the drivers of conflict including: identities, cultural destruction, information/propaganda, and climate change.

Tim is the Director of the Climate Change & (In)Security Project, an Oxford-CHACR collaboration exploring the insecurities created by climate change and how to respond to them. Tim is also the general editor of Routledge Advances in Defence Studies (RAiDS), a multi-disciplinary book series examining the contemporary forms, challenges, frameworks and technologies of national defence. His recent co-edited books include: Climate Change and (In)Security (Routledge, in press); Cultural Heritage in Modern Conflict (Routledge, 2022); The World Information War (Routledge, 2021); Before Military Intervention (Palgrave, 2018); and At the End of Military Intervention (Oxford University Press, 2015).
