Peter Apps presents a guest lecture on the history and future of NATO as it approaches its 75th anniversary. Peter is an award-winning global affairs commentator for Reuters. His coming book, A Sacred Obligation: On the the history and future of NATO, will look at both the big picture and human stories behind the geopolitical shifts of post-war Europe, the Cold War, German reunification, Trump’s threats to withdraw from the organisation and NATO’s current role in the Russia-Ukraine war. The book is due to be published in Spring 2024 to coincide with the 75th anniversary of NATO.
