Episode Description: In this episode of Voices from the Front, callsign Cossack – the Commanding Officer of the Ukrainian 10th Corps Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) training school – gives a broad outline of the training regime at the school as well as the various models of UGVs deployed by the Corps. He describes the basic principles of retrofitting and operating a UGV on logistical, evacuation and strike missions as well as some of the difficulties faced in respect of remote control, ground manoeuvre and the UAS threat. Cossack finishes with several recent case studies of UGV operations and his thoughts about the future of unmanned ground warfare.
