In this CHACR Lecture on the Go, Dr Matthias Strohn analyses the impact of the Second World War on Germany and shows how German politics, society and the military are still heavily influenced by the war. Dr Strohn argues that without understanding the history of the war and its legacies it is impossible to understand Germany in the 21st century.
